Easy Kale Chips











KALE CHIPS
Have you seen how expensive kale chips are in the store?  Kale chips have become a staple in my house lately.  They are such a great alternative to chips and crackers when you want something crunchy or salty.  Kale is not only for salads!
The are super easy to make and you can make them in different flavors too!
Benefits of Kale:
  • Kale is low in calorie, high in fiber and has zero fat
  • Kale is high in iron
  • Kale is high in Vitamin K
  • Kale is a great anti-inflammatory food
  • Kale is great for cardiovascular support 
  • Kale is high in Vitamin A
  • Kale is high in Vitamin C
  • Kale is high in calcium
  • Kale is a great detox food
Ingredients:
1 large head of Kale
1 tbsp. olive oil
1 tsp. Celtic sea salt
Parchment Paper
 Kale Chips

Directions:
1.  Preheat oven to 275º degrees
2.  Wash kale and pat dry.
3.  Remove the leaves from the stems and place in bowl
4.  Drizzle the olive oil over kale and add salt
5.  Gently coat the leaves using your hands
6.  Line baking pan with parchment paper, spread kale out on a baking sheet giving room to each piece
7. Transfer to oven and bake 10 minutes then turn leaves and bake another 5 to 10 minutes until crips.
These are so easy and delicious!!!  This will be a staple in your house like it is mine.

Kale Chips
Flavored Kale Chips
BBQ kale chips: Add 1/4 cup paprika, 1-2 tbs.chile powder, 1 tbsp. brown, 1 tablespoon garlic powder, 1 tsp. sea salt, 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
Italian  kale chips: Add 1 pressed garlic clove + ½ tsp italian seasoning.
Japanese style kale chips: Add a dash of toasted sesame seed oil + 1 pressed garlic clove +1 pinch red pepper flakes.
Cheesy kale chips: Add 2 tbsp. Nutritional Yeast to kale chips
*** Want to make RAW Kale chips. Dehydrate at 115º 6-8 hours or until crispy.
